So, its been about 3 months since I last posted anything. A lot has happened. After we returned home from Colorado, Kylee started Kindergarten. She loves it! It is nice to have a break during the day, but Will definitely gets excited when its time to pick her up from school. Curt has been busy at work and with school. He is on the craziest schedule and is working or on call during the holidays, but someone has to do it, so no big deal (it could be worse, like him being in Korea, right Carrie) no complaints from me :)

Kylee has made new friends since being in school, and she also played fall soccer with the base. It just finished up last week. She loved it! When I think of Kindergarten, I think of naps and finger painting, but Kylee is reading and adding numbers, its nuts. She wants to read everything around her and spells any time she can.

Will is also getting big, and says a bunch of new words. He is still peeing and occasionally pooping on the potty. He loves to be outside, and wants to do any and everything Kylee does.

For Halloween Kylee was a mummy, and Will was a giraffe. We went to the base library a few days before Halloween, to hear scary stories and play games, both kids loved that. We went trick or treating around the base with our neighbors. After just a couple houses Will retreated to the wagon to eat his candy while I pulled him around.

I have decided that I am really liking the whole crafting thing, and started an Etsy account (http://www.simplycouture.etsy.com) , and I also have been a vendor at local craft shows. It is a ton of fun!

I promise to not be such a blog slacker :) Love you Carrie, sorry for the blog vacation!

Another Busy Week

So, it has been another very busy week, like always. Curt came home on Saturday, and Kylee started school on Tuesday. She got a little bit scared right before they walked to the classroom, but when she came home from school, she had nothing but good stuff to say. Will and I are trying to get in a routine now that we have to get up at 6:30 am to get Kylee to school. I am trying to go to the gym, get the house stuff done, and run all the errands before we have to pick up Kylee from school at 2 pm. It always seems like I have plenty of time, but I never do. Hopefully this next week will get easier.

I took Kylee and her friend to the Paint Your Own Pottery place. The girls had so much fun, when I pick the pieces up I will post pics. Other than that we have been going to the park a lot, going on a bunch of walks, and kinda just hanging out around the house. On Saturday, we went bowling with the neighbors, and afterward we watched their 3 kids so they could go out to eat (it was their anniversary). All the kids were great. We baked cupcakes, while Curt and his friend worked out. Here are some pics from the last week....

So, me and the kids made it home safe yesterday. My friend, Allison, picked us up from the airport. Other than the rain, its good to be home. Today the kids and I went over to Des's house to hang out with her, Danielle and Allison. It's been a while since we have all gotten together, and it was nice to see everyone (well minus the MIA people )

Spectacular Saturday

First off, I finally uploaded the tractor video of Will...its super cute...it's under the blog "Our Terrific Tuesday...Will's 1st Bday"...so check it out.

Anyway, today we had Will's birthday party at my sisters house. It was a sports theme, and I had so much fun decorating the cakes with my sister. My family that lives in Colorado came, my Opa, aunt and uncle, a bunch of cousins, and our neighbors from when I lived here, and my brother in laws mom, so I guess thats my mother in law in law?? Anyway, it was a ton of fun, and it was great to see all my family.

After the party my parents, me and the kids, and Danielle and her family went to the park and let the kids play. Then we came home to make a fire on the back patio and make smores. Super fun way to end the night!! What a busy day, but well worth it!!

Up in Breckenridge

My parents, the kids and I went up to Breckenridge for 3 days. Kylee could not wait to go to the mountains. When my mom told her we were going Kylee asked, "Mooshi, what kind of food do they have in the moutains?" She is too cute. It was about a 2 hour drive from their house. Will slept most of the way there and Kylee had so much fun with my mom in the back seat. After we checked in to the hotel we went out to see what shops they had. Kylee found a playground, and her and Will really liked the rock slide. Then they found the river, which has melted snow water running into it, so it was freezing cold. But Will loved it and did not want to get out. We walked around a little more before we stopped for some dinner. After dinner we headed back to the hotel and we all played some cards. The next day when we woke up the weather was a little bit cloudy so we decided to drive around and see some of the real estate for sale.. We drove to the top of the road and took pictures. It was beautiful!!! The sun finally came out so we headed back down to look at the rest of the town. We stopped for lunch at a mexican restaurant and Kylee was so excited because she got to get a strawberry daiquiri, virgin of course. When we first drove in to Breckenridge Kylee saw a house drawn carriage and really wanted to go on it. So we found the lady and went on a ride. Kylee and Will loved it. We went back to the playground so the kids could run around, and then we continued our window shopping. We found a store that had wigs and funky sunglasses so Kylee had to try them on and so did Will. Kylee is most definitely her momma child, every place that had a statue she had to pose for a picture, she is so silly. That night Will fell asleep on the way to the hotel to he went to bed with shoes on and everything. Our last day there we went to Peak 8, they have a couple different rides there. We went on the Alpine Slide. You have to ride to the top on the ski lift and then you ride a sled down. Will was too little, well not too little, too young, to ride, so we took turns taking Kylee on the slide. She had so much fun!! Then we found a little toy shop that had toys that you could play with, Will loved the trampoline, and Kylee loved to jump with Will. On the way home we got stuck in a little bit of traffic but we all had a blast singing songs in the car.

Wonderful Weekend

The kids and I spent the weekend and the first half of the week at my sisters house in Colorado Springs. We rode bikes and went to the park. We also played a lot in the backyard and in the sand box. My sister and I took all 3 kids to Walmart, and it was super funny because they all wanted to be in the cart but they were upset that they kept touching each other. Well everyone was upset about it except Will, he had fun. One day after dinner we made smores in the back yard, it was a lot of the fun and the kids loved it! Here are some of the pics...

Our Terrific Thursday....Will's 1st Birthday!!!

Today is Will's 1st birthday. I cannot believe it has already been a year. This morning Kylee and my mom made waffles for everyone, they were delicious. After breakfast, my mom and Kylee played "Geyer Spa"....my mom painted Kylee's nails and toes and then had my dad fan Kylee while she ate grapes and waited for the polish to dry...Kylee loved it. After that my mom and I took all the kids on a walk, Kylee rode her bike...she is so happy that my dad got her one to ride for when she visits. While we were on the walk my dad was working on the landscaping in the backyard, so when we got back all the kids could not wait to play in the dirt.

One of Kylee's favorite things to do out here is ride my dads lawn mower. So, I took her on a ride. When Ava saw us she jumped on, and then Will jumped on too. We let Will "drive" and he loved it (I have a video but it is not letting me upload it now, so I will try again later)

My sister and Ava had to go back up to Colorado Springs, because Danielle had some work stuff to do the next couple of days. My mom and I went out shopping to a couple different stores, while my dad watched Will and Kylee. We were gone for almost 3 hours, but the kids were really good, and when we came home they were out front playing. So my mom and I stayed outside with the kids and played for a while longer.

While my mom and I were out we got a little cake for Will to have for his bday. After dinner we gave him the cake and he went crazy!!!

Wonderful Wednesday

So, today Will only threw up once today..yay!!! Today my Opa came down to see us, and the kids had so much fun playing outside with him. We also helped my dad pull weeds, and move some rocks. Kylee and Ava helped my dad mow the grass, and he took them on a ride on the lawn mower....they loved it. Oh, this is super funny, my parents bought Kylee a new comforter set and it came with sleeping face mask thing, and Kylee has been wearing it to bed.

Throwing Up Tuesday

This morning me and kids left to go to Colorado. Our flight was bright and early at 6 in the morning, Vanessa my neighbor was nice enough to drive us there. Right before we went through the security check Will threw up all over himself and me. So, we cleaned up and we went through the check point. And of course I didn't bring the right bag with his extra outfit, so I bought a child small shirt from the souviner stand. We loaded up on the airplane, on our flight to Houston. I thought Will was feeling better but he was not, he ended up throwing up 2 more times. We left that flight with Will wearing only sweat pants. We had a short layover, and we boarded our flight to Denver. Will slept most of the way, and Kylee watched High School Musical and Hannah Montana on the TV on the plane....she was super excited. When we were about 15 miles to touchdown Will started throwing up again...all over me, all over everything. We left that flight in a diaper. My brother-in-law picked us up from the airport and we drove to my sisters house . The kids were so excited to see each other.

The kids played for a while and then came in to eat. About 20 minutes after Will ate he threw up again. So, I called the doctor to see if I could get a referral or something. Then we layed down for a nap. The doctor called back and said he wanted us to go to the emergency room, he was worried that Will would get dehydrated since he had thrown up so many times. So, my sister and I took Will to the ER. After we checked in, we went to sit down and Will threw up again. They took us back and we sat and waited. Fast forward a couple hours....the docs don't know what is wrong with Will, they gave me some anti-nausasea medicine for him.

After coming home from the ER, we stop by my sisters house and picked up the kids then we headed to my most favorite place to eat ever, Silver Pond. We picked up food and headed down to my mom and dads house.

Just Another Manic Monday...

So Kylee had her friend, Sasha, spend the night last night. I wake up this morning and heard water running, after a couple minutes it didn't stop, I went to figure out what it was. It was Kylee and Sasha in my kitchen at 6:30 am. They decided they wanted to wash dishes, and they used a whole bottle of dawn dish soap.....hopefully in a couple years she will still want to help.

After I cleaned up the mess in the kitchen, I made breakfast for the girls. I also made 2 dinners, desserts and breakfast muffins for our friends, Adam and Danielle, who just had a baby on Saturday. After a morning of cooking and baking, the kids, including Sasha, and I loaded up to drop off the food and then we headed over to Jump Indoors to meet some friends.

After the jump place, we went and registered Kylee for kindergarten. Then we headed home, and the girls took a well needed nap. The rest of the day was pretty uneventful. But now I sit in the middle of clothes everywhere, I should be packing, but this is the part I hate most of all when going on trips. Its 11:42 pm, I am leaving for the airport at 5 am, I think its time to go pack....love you XOXO

Today my neighbor and I loaded all the kids up and headed to the mall, they had some great deals so we started back to school shopping. It was super fun....me, Vanessa, and all 5 five....

Our friends, Danielle and Adam, also had their baby today. So Vanessa, our neighbor, watched the kids for a little while so I could stop by the hospital and see Cadence. She is too cute!!!

It was another busy day for us. I don't think we have anything planned for Sunday, but we shall see I am sure we will find something to get in to :)

Another Busy Week

It has been another bust week. Kylee and her friends wanted to bake so me and three 5-year olds made cupcakes (I would have taken pics, but they were gone so fast I didn't get a chance). While the girls were baking Curt and Will were playing on the back porch in the jumpy castle thing that we have.

Its a little blurry because Curt was bouncing him.

Since we knew Curt was not going to be here for Will's birthday I made a cake for him, and we had a mini family birthday celebration.

Kylee found a frog and was so excited to bring it inside to show us!!!

William finally mastered walking just before Curt left on Thursday to go to Survival School in Washington State.

So yesterday it was just me and the kids. I told Kylee we would go see a movie, but then a friend of mine invited us to go to the pool with her. So, we were off to the pool, except Kylee saw her friend outside across the street and "really, really, really" wanted her to come with us. The girls were so excited they couldn't stop screaming.

So, off we went. First we went to the dollar store so the kids could load up on junk to bring to the movie. Then we went to the base pool.

After the movie it was another quick stop at home so I could change and we could go to the gym. When we finally got home for the evening we found a large box at our doorstep. It was a wagon that Curt's mom got Will for his birthday. We, well I, put it together and took the kids on a stroll around the block. They love it!! I will post pics of the wagon on the next blog....we had a busy but fabulous week, we love you all and hope your week was as fun as ours!!!

Busy, Busy, Busy

One of my bestest friends just moved today :( So over this past week we have been helping her move. Curt and the guys from his work went over and loaded the Uhaul while us girls supervised, and took pictures for the blog.

We, well me and the baby, have not had the best week. He got pink eye, got it in both eyes and then gave it to me. And now I have it in both eyes, not so fun. But the good news is that Curt and Kylee didn't get it, and the baby is feeling better.

I think most of you know already but Will our 11 month old is peeing on the potty. It started a couple of weeks ago when my hubby suggested the most ridiculous thing ever.....to get him a potty. I was like yea Curt sure lets get the baby, who cannot walk, a toilet that's probably a real good idea. Well guess what?? the first time we put him on it he peed. So, now every morning for the past couple of weeks he has been going pee on his potty. Whenever me, Curt or Kylee have to go, we take him in there, sometimes he goes, sometimes he doesn't. But I am so amazed that he goes at least once a day!! He is such a big boy, oh yea I forgot to tell you that we bribe him....after he goes he gets a bite of ice cream. And he loves it!!

Another good friend of ours had her daughter, Izzy, baptized today, I made cupcakes for her, and they are so super cute! After the baptism we went over to their house for dinner and to hang out with our friends from Curt's work.

I am hoping that the more I blog the easier it will be to figure out what the heck to write, but for now I will fill the space with pics...

Hilton Head Island

From June 19 until the 26th, we went on vacation with Curts sisters, his mom and stepdad, down to Hilton Head Island.

It seemed like everyday was jammed packed with stuff to do. We rented bikes and the kids loved to ride all over and explore the island. The first couple days we went down to the beach and relaxed, while the kids dug holes and searched for ocean critters. They found horseshoe crabs, starfish, and about a bazillion sand dollars. We heard there was a dolphin cruise so we went out in the evening to do that. The kids loved it, and we got to see a bunch of dolphins. Almost every evening Curt's sisters cooked delicious food for all 14 of us and after that we went down to the pool at the condo. It was a super busy week but so much fun! We can't wait to see you guys again!
